I’m trying out to create “bouncing muscles”, just as you can see in these videos :

The first one introduces a plugin for 3ds Max, the second one is using Maya
I’m sure we can create the same effect in 3DsMax without any plugin (using 2012 version)
Here is the methodology I’ve tried :
I use a flex modifier, applied to a Standard Muscle, or to a Bone setup as a muscle (with the Squash trick … you may know this : http://area.autodesk.com/louis_tutorials/creating_muscles_in_3ds_max )
For the moment, the muscle is moving quite good with the Flex modifier. But the problem is that the Flex effect doesn’t affect the Skinned mesh
Do you know a solution to make the skinned mesh affected by the flex modifier movement of the muscle ?
You may know a totally different technic to make this bouncing muscle effect ??
