3DS Max: Rig a tractor trailer? Please read before commenting

I can’t seem to figure this out. The radius of the back of the trailer is less. There’s a whole weird ordeal.

I do not want to use path constraints.

I thought maybe it could work like a piston with IK solvers but I can’t figure that out either.

The only thing I can think of is using MassFX but that would be out of the question as I have no idea the proper ways to rig things to work in Physics.

Thanks for the suggestions and we aren’t shy to buy a rig if we have to.
