3ds max gizmo problem

Im trying to rotate a cylinder to a diagonal position so i can animate it later.

The gizmo isn’t aligned with the object so it makes it hard for me to animate the rotation.

Yes, its hard to animate rotations in World Space coordinate system. Its easier in Local Space - Alt+RMC -> Local. :lightbulb
