3Ds max cloth modifier question

Hi guys, im working on this long coat and im trying to get all the vertex selected in the picture to stay almost completely stiff and solid, i tried making them a group and assigning them to be “preserved” but this make them stay still in their XYZ position too and doesnt fall from gravity nor follow the body when it moves. Does anyone know the parameters for what im trying to achieve?

Option 1. Increase the bend resistance of the collar to a high value. You could increase the stretch/shear too.

Option 2. Skin the garment to the skeleton and use the preserve constraint (A preserve constraint means that those vertices will behave as if the cloth modifier was never applied).
