[3ds Max - Biped] Quaternion/TCB or Euler/Curves?

Hi all,
I just started animating in 3DS Max with the Biped (Character Studio) and I was wondering what was the most popular method for animating with it?

Quaternion / TCB
or
Euler / Curves
?

Coming from Maya (for animation only) I would say Euler/Curves are way more intuitive to me but I want to learn the good way (no matter how hard the learning will be).

  • What is the most popular way in Game Studios?
  • Is it a preference of the animator only?
  • What are the advantages of using one over the other?
  • What about Keyframe animations?

I’d like to have some feedback on this.

The advantage of quaternion is no gimbal lock.
