Hi, i’m not sure whether this is the correct forum but I am looking to create an animation that includes a chimney stack with slow moving smoke.
I am using superspray particle object and I have the smoke looking pretty much the way I want except it is moving too fast. I know you change the particle motion speed but this sets my smoke to emit really slow too. My animation is only 2000 frames so far so by the time the animation is rendering the chimney stack the smoke has hardly even started to emit - I have to move to frame 40000+ before the smoke has reached a decent height. Is there anyway to disable the emit start time? I’ve tried setting the emit start to a negative number i.e. -500000 but still no luck. I know I can extend my key frames to a later start point but I have a large number of separate objects animated at different points in the animation and I don’t really want to start moving this about. Is there any way round this?
Thanks
James
