3dmax Alpha material outlined

#1

Hello there, I’m kinda new to the forums so i apologize if there’s a post like this before or im posting on wrong section

okay so im trying to make a lowpoly model usin 3dmax and got a problem when using alpha mapping for the hair texture…
here is the pic…

Like you can see, there’s a thin line on the edge of object (in this case, a plain) on her bangs (the alpha’d part) that makes it looks like a glass and sometimes it becomes black/white depending on the background color.

This is how it looks on viewport

Here is the material im usin in case you need to see it

Im using 3dmax 2010, this is showing both on the viewport, and rendered version
I’ve tried to change the diffuse file material from psd to jpeg/bmp/tga/gif, and even thu it did change a little, it still showing.
Also, im not using UVW map either, nor lighting, it doesnt change bit.

I need to know what’s got it wrong, so any help is appreciated,
oh and sorry for my bad english :frowning:

switch off the tile checkmark in the bitmap/ coordinates section or turn off the bitmap filtering. don’t know why this always happens with the opacity maps…
