[color=white]Paradigm Entertainment is video game developer located in a suburb of Dallas, TX. We are PROUD TO HAVE BEEN RECENTLY ACQUIRED BY THQ Inc. We are currently working on projects for next gen platforms.

Why the Dallas area? As residents of the Dallas metropolitan area, we enjoy an AFFORDABLE COST OF LIVING, (we can purchase homes before we turn 50) excellent schools, restaurants and entertainment. We also enjoy the competition of professional football, basketball, baseball and soccer! The conveniently located DFW airport allows us to travel to anywhere in the world when we choose. Finally, as residents of the great state of Texas, we do not pay state income tax – more money to buy GAMES!

We already have an extremely talented group of artists, but we need additional people to help us achieve our short & long term goals. Paradigm Entertainment needs a highly skilled Vehicle Artist to model & texture vehicles for games.

Primary Responsibilities:You will be responsible for modeling & texturing various modes of transportation specifically, cars and trucks. Construct environments using your understanding of mapping, scale, proportion & lighting. May also take on modeling & texturing of additional objects & props to accompany those slick vehicles. Use Maya software while maintaining polygon budget, platform restrictions and technology limitations.

Education / Work Experience:
BA in Industrial Design or BFA degree in Art related field (Graphic Design, 3D Modeling)
Minimum 3-5 years art production experience - preferably creating models of vehicles or modes of transportation
Experience using art 3D development tools (Maya, Photoshop, etc.) in a production environment
Experience with console (PS2, X-box, GameCube) and/or PC titles
Good communication skills with other artists, software engineers or others as required
Proactive problem solver – investigating all facets of issue to seek resolution
Organized and detail oriented – able to focus on quality AND deadlines simultaneously
Strong hand drawing skills

Additional Skills:
Lighting skills are a plus
Experience with real-time shaders is a plus
Experience with next-gen consoles and art pipeline techniques is a BIG PLUS

Several samples of your work demonstrating your modeling & texturing skills of vehicles should be included. It is strongly recommended that you include enough samples to demonstrate your range of creativity and skill. Please include specific information such as software used, polygon count, etc. If your work is part of a team effort, please designate your contribution.

We often request applicants complete an art assignment as part of the employment process. Please do not be offeded if we ask you to do so.

This is regular, full-time, career opportunity.
Relocation to the Dallas, TX metropolitan area is required.
