3d game studios and game engines out there?

#1

3d game studios is one of many game engines out there to use i know quest 3d is another new one out there that looks good,my friend has been trying out both these and we want to get started into making a game of some sort,i know they have it so you can use there language with the default programs or you can use c++ or something like that if you know it,i do modeling in 3ds max he knows how to program a little and is learning more,i may start to program soon and add some of my models to the game engine and see how that works, anyone really tested out of these products or something like it,these are way cheaper to license than say something like unreal’s engine or half life’s engine,i think its a good start to making games,i plan on making a online mulitplayer game, since i have someone in the business who knows how to set up servers professional, let me know what you think of these programs,Thanks,Chris^_^ oh yeah here are the links to the 2 i mentioned

are those 3d game engines and are they free to use?

Wow. That has got to be one of the most run-on and poorly “punctuated” sentances I’ve ever read…or tried to, anyway.

I use Conitecs A6 engine. But, sorry to say, I don’t really know what the heck you are asking. Could you perhaps re-write your post using actual, correct punctuation, capitalisation, etc.? I’m not trying to be a nit, but I really can’t read/understand what you wrote, so I can’t really help you or comment on what you are asking.

i’m sorry about the last post
it should be, are those 3d engines?and are they free?

Yes, they both are. I suggest that you follow the links from the first post and check them.

Shortly: 3DGS is basically for games authoring. Prizes range from 49$ to 899$, Quest3D is at it’s best at architecture visualizations (even over 1 million polygons), but you can use it also for games authoring. Prices range from 89$ to 1999$.

I just sold my 3DGS Pro license. Shortly, versatile, with scripting almost unlimited possibilities. Just upgraded to support DX9. Physics engine needs a lot of improvement but there’s also a freeware one (Newton) witch can be used and it’s a lot more stable.

I also have Quest3D license (Pro) witch I like more. The renderer quality is just fabulous! In some areas it gives more freedom than 3DGS. Has also implemented scripting (LUA) system. But this is one of it’s first implementation to Quest so you cannot basically do “everything” with it - yet, but it’s implementation is developing fast.

Both have a great community which is a big asset. With 3DGS it’s much wider but even there are not so many active users in Q3D community most of them are real pros.

My personal choise was Q3D but go and check both sites, download the demos - 30 day limit in both of them - and see what you can find.
