Hi, ive been doing alot of 2d game making recently and i was thinking of moving on to 3d gamemaking so i just wondered what program you guys used? and how much it costs, if it does.

There are many programs out there. As someone else posted, this is a good place to start:

I recently started looking at 3d Game Engines (but more for screen saver applications). What was important to me was to choose an engine that meshed well with my programming experience. I chose TV3D because it supports .NET really well (at least the C# route).
They all are great engines in my opinion. It comes down to your comfort level with programming. The more experience, the more powerful the engine (in my opinion). Also, how much you can afford, but I think some of the free ones are catching up quickly.

You could also check out Reality Factory. It went to E3 this year, it’s pretty cool. And free.
