You can animate the atmosphere. Select the sun, and open the atmosphere editor. Set it up for your start and add a keyframe, then move to your end frame, edit your atmosphere and add another keyframe. Make sure “forbit atmosphere animation” is not selected.

This way you can animate sky colour and so on, and also move the sun around. If you want the moon to rise as night falls, you can use a light, and/ or add planet - moon.

I had a few moments spare, so I made a quick example of a day and night animated atmosphere. Obviously the moon never really rises where the sun sinks, but you get the idea.

What I did was first of all, animate the position of the sun to make it sink. Then I added a planet - the moon. I animated the position of that so it rises. I then went into the atmosphere editor, and animated several things in there, such as sky, light and ambient colours, and the balance of ambient and sun light etc. I also added stars, and animated there brightness. The clouds are animated too. After that I added a point light which I animated to follow the moon. I gave it a soft, blue colour, and animated the power over time. I added some lensflare too.

This is just a very quick example of what you can do by animating the atmosphere. Hope it helps.

I think wich the animation of the atmosphere on vue is not is the best .

I find it’s best to use auto keyframe with the atmos editor. You would normally only need a couple keyframes, or maybe 3 for start middle and end. What you can do is put a cube under the ground, and move it to set the number of keyframes you want. Position your keyframes to where you want them. Then you can advance or retard to those keyframes where you want to make the changes to your atmosphere. See what I mean? It acts like a marker. So if you want to change the atmos settings for say, keyframe 2, you would select the cube, advance to keyframe 2, and make the changes to your atmosphere for that point.

If you are doing a 24hr animation, then you probably only need a keyframe at the start and one at the end for your atmosphere. Or maybe one in the middle as well.
