2017 Motionbuilder to 2017 3ds max problem


when importing motion data from 2017 Motionbuilder into 2017 3ds max i’m having an issue/problem.

i usually import/update using fbx files. when i do the limbs come in all twisted around.

i don’t seem to have this problem with 2016 Motionbuilder to 2016 Max

any help or insights would be appreciated.
