2.5 Fluid Sim - Noob Questions

#1

OK, so I’ve got a basic fluid sim. working, with a domain object, a fluid object and various obstacles to make it interesting.

But it’s quite blocky, and I can’t find a way to make the fluid mesh more refined. I tried subdividing the mesh of my fluid object, but it seems to make no difference.

And there are no parameters within the Physics|Fluid parameter window that relate to flow rate, resolution, simulation quality etc etc.

I’m pretty new to Blender and am working through whatever tutes I can find, but I can’t find a basic guide or a newbie tutorial to explain the fluid sim basics - I’m sure there are some key things I don’t know yet that would answer this.

Any help appreciated!

Cheers
Richard

select your domainobject. now you can change the resolution, viscosity etc.

Great thanks - hadn’t spotted the Domain World section, and also realised there is a resolution setting there too.
