1C Black colorization

Hi,

i have a small issue with a Project I’m working on.

The Press wants to have an 1c Black Color on photographs and im not sure, how to accomplish it.

Can i just throw a “Channel Mixer” on em with CMY set to 0% and Black to 100% ?

Do i have to set this “Adjustment Layer” to Color or should i leave it to normal ?

Help would be appreciated.
