Looks like your mesh isn’t at the origin. you can either move it back with the transpose tool, or use the unify function from the deformation sub-palette.
Or alternatively, use the right mouse to orbit instead of the left. It will auto-orbit around your cursor.
This is ZB’s alternate navigation system. If your just starting in ZB I would recommend it. It will also zoom around the cursor and also has the benefit of not having to be on an empty part of the canvas to orbit.
hmm darn, I’m using a tablet pen and it doesn’t seem to have a right click. could be why it keeps switching back to the other navigation method.
I take it your tablet isn’t Wacom then?
Are you sure you don’t have S.Pivot anabled? This could also cause that behaviour.
Oh, how do I enable s.Pivot?
Yea, I have Wacom but none of the buttons on my pen seem to activate right click.
Spivot and Cpivot are buttons on the right column of your canvas.
Spivot sets the pivot to the centre of the visible polygroup
CPivot clears the pivot set by Spivot(I thought you might have used Spivot by mistake)
If you have a Wacom then you have to set the button config in your Wacom properties.
The button closest to the nib is usually right+click by default.
