Zbrush projection issue

Hello, i first time trying make the hard surface with zbrush, i create this rome helmet, thats have 1,7 mil polys, i merge all to the one and create 4k lowpoly model, (same proces i make if i do organic models, but a really dont know if that is right) so when i project that, that makes some spikes and holes on my divided model, i also try project that like the separe parts, but same holes and spikes, this model is symetry except top hair, i unfortunately doesnt find some tutorial what explain this issues, both images is after projection, one note, i project that like the default settings, i will glad for any advice

It looks like it can be a distant issue. Try messing around with the Dist slider. If the model your projecting on has areas that’s far away from the original mesh, it might have a hard time calculating to get all the details. The closer both surfaces are to each other, more likely to get correct results.
