YOur Opinion counts: Bike off!!

#1

Ok heres the deal. Me and my brother had a quick little bike off over the past week. We decided it would be a fun project since choppers/customs are all the rage now a days. The way it works is like this ;the Poll will begin at 12 midnight on thursday (tonight) and end on friday at 12 midnight. The bike with the most votes wins. I hope anyone who views participates. In order to keep this discreet im not going to post which one is mine and which is my brothers. Just pick Bike A or B. This isn’t really a critique Thread but if you would like to comment on either bike be in negative or Positive feel free. Each of us will post a small little caption about the bike and build process just to iron out anything you cant see in the renders. Thanks for viewing…now VOTE!!!

For this BIke i wanted to keep it simple. Modeling in Max 6 Rendered in max 6 with omnis. Scanline. I was going for an oldschool meets new school meets its way to late and i have no clue where to go with this kinda thing. Nice. Ok enjoy.

Well, to tell you the truth, they need more work. I think you would get more response if you did a little more to them.
First, I would say add some of the small bits and pieces that would make them more realistic.
Second, it looks like you are using about 2 or 3 materials with different color settings, they need work and variation.
And last, the lighting is awful. I would say do a google search for 3 point lighting tutorials.
I’m curious to see these after some improvements, I like the overall design.

Tbonz is right,…

Ill do you a favour, they have no detail, weight or charm. You said we could be honest,… that’s the reason you are getting no reaction. Take a look at your competition. Here people cut a tread in the tire, they make car paint you could fall into and they put heaps of time or talent into the design.

Your materials are very basic and the designs are not imaginative. Take a lot of time looking at bike magazines an whack those babies into shape!

There are lots of proffesionals on this forum and they wont notice you till your stuff can make their mouth water.

Hope this helps
