This is a must have! Igors, you are amazing!
To be sold on Paralumino?

#6

Uff-Da!

Very impressive

#7

More details forthcoming. The Igors have been very tight lipped on this one.

Will this plug-in work with EIAS 5.5?

Thanks,

Mike

I’m blown away. Here I was thinking there were no interesting developments in the pipeline. What a morale builder to see something like this coming to EI!!!

Igors
If you need a beautiful girl model for testing purposes, i offer to you the FAC of one i have done (images in the WIP area).
But, please, be gentle, is her first time!

Any news?

Igors… I’m on the edge of my seat with a red hot credit card…
How about posting the interface image…? Any news on availability calendar?

#13

Igor,
I know it’s impudent to ask,

  • but -
will those new dynamic perhaps cooperate with Fiber-Forge to give the EIAS-Hairs true dynamics and collision detection?

AGREE!!

#15

#16

Mine too!..
And waiting for Rodeo…

Hi
I sincerely hoped a big fuss with this clothes plug, nobody has nothing to say?
Maybe is the christmass season…
Well, i made a little tests and the simulations stops before end, maybe is a RAM problem (1Gb), but is promising.
Thanks Igors an Merry Christmass.

Well I have done many tests, all worked perfectly. I might be able to show you a couple of animations tomorrow

It’s such a cool plug. I’m still getting my head around using Weight Maps, I’m pretty new to them, but they seem to work flawlessly for this plug.

Best,
Ian

There was another thread over on the Postforum as well. But nobody on the EITG forum mentioned it, maybe someone should go over and make an announcement just to cover all the bases? The lack of fanfare surprised me as well, but maybe everyone’s just busy right now. Hey, when you think about it its almost a minor miracle: two of the biggest wishlist items on people’s lists, cloth and dynamics, are now covered. And for the moment they’re both free! At least until Rodeo is out of beta.

Not only that, but with the plugins that Paralumino and the Igors are pumping out, EI is well on its way to having a tight little parametric modeler built right in. Hey, nobody said AE could have a paint system, and look what those Swedish guys did: built the whole thing right into a plugin and now AE has a full-fledged roto/paint system. Any reason this can’t happen with our beloved EI? I don’t see why not. And it wouldn’t even take all that many plugins: 1) a core spline drawing plug, 2) extruder/beveler, 3) revolver, 4) instancer, 5) boolean, 6) lofter…hey, we already have most of those!

Rambling now…

#20

Hey Scott, Do you have a url for this RotoPaint for AE? Is it free?

#21

Its been included in AE as part of the package since, I think, 5.5. Or maybe 5.0. It may be part of the Pro package. Maybe you’ve had it all this time & didn’t realize? Its a nice feature, not quite as slick as a dedicated app like Commotion but useful.

#22

Here 'tis, from this url:

http://www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects/overview2.html

Go to the bottom of the page, it describes the paint system there. Doesn’t say its Pro specific so I guess its in the core app, and I think its been there for quite a while. I think it started as a Cycore plugin, way back when, but its fairly integrated now. Though it still interacts with the timeline as a plugin, so you can control timing of individual brushstrokes and such. It does best with more simple stuff - if you have a roto that’s going to take several thousand brushstrokes its best to break it up, since it keeps each stroke as a separate element.

Enjoy!

Oh yeah! That! Yes, I rarily use 2D per se. Thank. Merry Merry
