World Creation:The Scalawags of L'Eternel /Virtuoso Bros/Fist/Jelwa/AcidboyXL

Hey guys, back with my first wip shots :slight_smile:

This is the Scalawag bot we are creating. it will be populated by four of jelwa’s lil’ rudes. these guys are kind of a sub-species of the scalawags if you will. you can see the base model jelwa is creating in his last post. as he already said, they will be around 70-90cm tall (2 1/3 to 3 feet). i say ‘base model’ because each of them will get his individual modeling and texturing treatment. the bot will have one pilot-rude, a mechanic, one to occupy the lookout, and one to look after the rum supply, using the mechanical bots very own rum-distillery which you can see in the back.

the shot’s are completely untextured/uncolored as of now, i’ll show off some textured once i’ve finished modeling the legs, the interior and some extra gadgets.

now just imagine it with some rough textures and jelwa rudes running around and you’ll get the idea :beer:

This all sounds fabulous guys.What an inspiring project,I will look forward to it’s progress. I think you already have some excellent starts here. Thanks to all for the interest in our beginning stages of work.It’s always appreaciated to get compliments and any suggestions to better our project.:beer:

           I am posting another character.He is of course a [b]Scalawag[/b] as are all of our characters within this project.He is of the [b]Brute clan[/b],the larger type Scalawags as is [b]Jelwas Troth the troll[/b] and [b]Fist's Bot "Das Bot'[/b]. A full body and textures,rig,and face morphs are coming right up as well.

          He is a pilot of one of the many exotic transports of the Scalawags. His name is  " Dashing Dino Von Fliegen"...................

          His trusty Transport the [b]"Barbarella"[/b] is well on way to compleation.It shall be posted in many Wip's in the coming days.

          So here's [b]Dashing Dino Von Fliegen......[/b].......Yes I know he thinks he is more dashing than he really is.

             We shall be posting more updates very soon, I like to think of this stage as the tip of the ice berg stage,lot's more of our work is headed this way..;)

…aand another update

i’ve finished some of the many many props for the bot. first in line are a little lamp which will eventually hang outside to light the way, and a fog horn. there will be many more props like these over the coming days. the direction of this creation is turning more and more towards a pirate ship theme… a pirate ship on robotic legs


here’s something our man AcidBoyXL has been working on. this will be a bamboo glider for the lil’ rudes. jelwa’s big troll will carry those on his back. they have a handle which he can use to cast the lil’ rudes up into the sky… which will come in very handy for what they have planned. the bot will also get a launch pad for these gliders.

as you can see AcidBoy has already started on the tricked out wing mechanism. when the troll grips these glider by the handle, the wings will snap open like an umbrella.

          Ok here is a 1ST look at one of the transports of the [b]Scalawags[/b]...................named the [b]"Barbarella"[/b].It's [b]Dashing Dino's[/b] transport created for him by one of the two great inventors of the Scalawags.His name is [b]Frumpy Jowls[/b].

          What I am showing at this time is a piece of the entire transport itself.The cockpit and crane device of the transport itself.The real heart & Soul of the transport will be shown in the coming days.The modeling is just about finished,we are now putting together the many pieces of the puzzle together now.Also the texture pallette is being planned now as well.

          So stay tuned for more on the transport,many gadgets,weapons,tricked out seating,and a [b]couple real nice surprises[/b] that are the true heart and soul of this transport,look for this in the coming days.

           You will notice a Lounge type chair up on the main Pilots control Hub.......................That's the [b]Lil'Rude[/b] (The little Scalawags) lounge chair,an assistent to dashing Dino while aboard the Barbarella transport.Also steps and speacial landing gear is being added to what you see now.besides all the rest.

        So here is a [b]25% WIP of the transport Barbarella[/b].Thanks.

All those characters looks incredible! argh… dunno what to say, this is just marvelous!

I know nothing about the world, but it surely looks wonderful so far.

That transporter is excellent! Are you mounting it to back of somekind of animal? hehe it kinda looks like it is missing somekind of thing that carries it…well like you said it is 25% :slight_smile: Cant wait to see the rest of it.

            With this latest update I am showing Three (3) more characters .................These characters were part of the latest challenge "game Icons" here at CGtalk,we will be giving them final polish jobs here and now. 

             The first is [b]Frumpy Jowls[/b] one of the two  main [b]inventors[/b] of the [b]Scalawags[/b].He helps create all the transports,gadgets,contraptions,weapons and designs much of the architecture in many of the Scalawags strongholds.Such as many of the fancy gizmos,gadgets etc,etc... at the [b]Castle hideaway Code-named "Project Humongous"[/b],soon to be shown in it's entirety as well.

              The other two are [b]"Jack Squat and his side-kick Checkmate"[/b]............there place in the current phase of this Project are as statues,they will be"Bronzed".Aged statues "Oxidized" bronzed statues that grace the grounds of the Humongous castle hideaway of the Scalawag clan. Look for a "Oxidized texture job on them shortly".

             Frumpy Jowls as you see him will also be getting another "Gizmo-Contraption" to his headgear.Along with some more facial tweaks.The textures are getting revised as well for the body of Frumpy Jowls.Some more kinks and twists,dents too are being added to his head gear.Frumpy will be appearing in one of our up-coming scenes within the Humongous castle,so I saw it fit to show him here at this time.

           Here is a Angle of Frumpy Jowls,another gadget is to be added on his left side of his head-gear along with some facial tweaks in modeling,and some texture tweaks here and there.
