John, good stuff… I would like to see more of your work online. I like your lines, sense of form, and use of color. Can you give a “digital coloring for comics” tutorial? I’m trying to learn on my own with limited success. I liked your work in Image Comics’ “Hammer of the Gods” and Insight Studios “Doctor Cyborg”.

It’s the first time i’m seeing this thread, and i think it’s great. Mangas always suffer prejudice because it’s not a “form of art”, as many people say. Well, I don’t think this world is only made of art, is made of things we like. Among them lies manga!
There goes my contribution for the thread. I made these drawings a looong time ago, but I’m really proud of them (in spite of they received just a few comments here at CGTalk when i posted them…). It’s a mix between mangas and realistic drawings. I hope you like them.

uuuuu I didn’t post anything… in a long time… uh between school and work… it’s really hard to find some time for drawing…^^’ so here are some of my “recent works”…

This is a pic of aeris … just wanted to experiment with hair…

this one was an experiment for the background… which as you can see is totally failure ^^’

in this one the arms are missing… I know… but… huh… anyways… this was a piccy for my best friend calisto…

this is a little fairy of light…

you can find this pic on the net… I used it as a reference picture 5 years agoi I think… these are marie antoniette… and lady oscar… unfinished…

this was an experiment too… for a new colouring style…

oman, I draw more manga art in my spare time than anything else :smiley: Becuase I tend to do it “quick and dirty” compared to my “regular” art lol.

It’sg reat to see so mnay wonderful anime artists here :smiley:

hi im back,sorry for posting les as my thesis are going on but i cant forget my uber cool frnz here :thumbsup:

iv bin trying to color her for a long time now but im unable to justify her so i’v left it for some other fine day cuz i cant color that well right now:sad:

I used to draw a lot of manga back at college under the name ‘Ecco’, but once I got to university, I stopped after realising everyone was drawing it, and I kinda got bored of it, anyhoo, for my Animation for games ICA at uni, I decided to go back to my roots :slight_smile:

Here’s two bit’s I’ve done recently
