Added some dust/dirt/stain to desk

Slowed down adding new objects!
Just tweaking different things (textures, lighting, compositing, …)
I’ve also decided to add a new camera to showcase the desk from a different angle.
Here’s the latest result.

I do like your composition of items in your scene and your camera placement.
Have you thought about having the whole scene lit by the monitors?
It might bring a little more focus to your composition, with the bright monitors in the center with a ring of dimly lit objects around them.
The monitors really should be several times brighter than the other objects in the scene.
Thanks, glad you liked it
Well, to be honest, I did not! I pictured it with 3 light sources. But I could give it a try, to see how it turns out. ![]()
I’ll post an update as soon as I can.
Here’s a different lighting setup as suggested by AJ1 (QUICK TEST)

(Sorry, I don’t know how to embed GIFs here)

I did a quick snapshot of my desk to illustrate the amount of light that two screens only can produce. Of course my brightness is high on my screens
I did a quick snapshot of my desk to illustrate the amount of light that two screens only can produce. Of course my brightness is high on my screens
So I guess I should increase the intensity
If you go that bright maybe increase the reflectivity of some objects. Like the pepsi can is near the screen but the aluminium is not so bright
Lol. I also keep my coffee cup on the left side, even though I’m right handed.
The renders do look more focused now. I think the desk light was just distracting. Are you using Vray, or MR?
Are you using area lights, or emitting photons from your monitor screen geometry?
A viewport screen grab of your whole seen that shows your light rig would be helpful to see.
Do try to get something closer to the natural exponential light falloff if you can.
That would be me too
I’m using VRay.
There are 4 lights in my scene, two monitor lights, Macbook monitor light and another for PC case (all 4, VRay Plane Lights). there was one for desk lamp which is OFF right now.

I’m tweaking the lights and materials which will decrease the reflection of monitors on the desk.
Was busy the last few days, and couldn’t done anything new.
Here’s a small update:
New Headset
[In case you wondering that’s Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma]

IMHO the lens dirt looks too fake in the first image and the watch in the bottom left looks flat and less metallic in the second image. Otherwise it looks great
Thanks for your opinion.
I agree about the lens dirt
The watch is one the early objects I added and didn’t touch it since the first version. I definitely fix that!
Thanks again
