Workflow from Low Poly to High Poly?


I’m working on some things right now where I have a low poly mesh. I want to have something much fancier than that, maybe bringing it into ZBrush and modeling some nicer things on it. However, I’m curious as to where I’d take it from there. I know it has something to do with making a normal map/UV map and applying it to the low poly mesh to get it to look fancier without actually having that many polygons, but I don’t know what programs/process I need to run it through. Does anyone have some advice for me?


I’ve been wondering the same thing. As far as the mesh itself goes, you can use the TurboSmooth and Subdivision modifiers on it or even Tesselate to get the results you need of higher polygon count.
