Work in progress, simple acting animation.

Hey there guys. I’m new here at the forum.

I was hoping that you guys would give me some advice and tips for some animation I am working on. All comments and critique is more then welcome!

Anyway I am far along with this animation. Have already gone through blocking out all the poses, although I must confess I could have been more dilligent with that step. I just didn’t have the ideas flowing in so I kinda vinged it. Anyway I started out with blocking all the poses in stepped mode, then did the lipsync using linear. When I was relatively happy with the results I converted all the curves, except for the facial controllers, into clammped. Anyway I havent gone that much into fiddling with the curves and smoothing them out, hardly at all actually. I wanted to see if you guys could give me some comments to make this come more alive? Oh and I do know that I should increase the timing when the hand comes down, am working on that one.

Oh and one more thing. I know this sounds silly but I have been having a little insecurity lately about my animation. Don’t get me wrong critic with out any mercy! I just wanted to honestly ask one more question. You know animation that one sees from time to time. you know where the characters float in space and seem to be slow mo, just look really really amaturish! Is mine like that?? Sorry I know I ain’t the best but I just don’t want to be a complete nub if you know what I mean. Again this does not mean I dont want real critic and that I want you guys to be nice or anything. Just askin!

Thanks for reading my ramble.

Nah it’s supposed to be like that. Its slow motion you know. lol. Just kidding. I see what your talking aabout, think it is quite obvious when she raises here shoulder, don’t know what I was taking when I did that shoulder. I will take a look at it. Thanks again!

Did you do it for fun, or is it some kind of project?

I just went online and found a couple of rigs to practice with. Just some random sound files I found to play with, just for practice. Not really a project or anything just wanted to practice.
