The way you have its tail curled behind its body, makes for a silhouette that’s not very effective in describing this creatures general contour. Try uncurling the tail a bit so the silhouette looks a bit more complete, with a more elongated shape.

The fishes in the background can also be arranged a bit more artfully, give them a clear sense of traveling direction that’s more streamlined. Maybe they are following the creature in flanking lines, as if the rider is leading them?

It seems like you are lighting the creature with a much larger light source than the wand? Is there another very bright light source lighting this scene?

The creature is meant to be also lit by some sunlight/caustics coming through from the sea surface above.
I agree on the silhouette and the direction of the fish.
