Yeah, I should scale it down a bit, but it could also look longer from this close-up camera view.
Thanks,

No, just the usual method. Increase subd level higher to smooth out the displacement. Extract displacement at 4096 and adaptive. Export displacement map and export base geo.
Nice head Tony! The side view looks so cruisey it’s scary, but the front view doesn’t remind me if him. Keep up the good work! :buttrock:
A little OT question. I haven’t browsed the zBrush world lately and I was wondering what happened to the plugin you praised in the other head thead of yours. Is it out? Or can you tell what it is about?
Thanks.
I actually don’t know what is happening with Chris Reid’s plugin. It was suppose to be out, but alas nothing as of yet. I still use it, and it has become an everyday tool for me.
Cheers,
I think you´ve catched his characteristics quite nice. I can see it´s him without guesswork
Hi Tony,
Nice to see you up and kicking.
Looks like Tom Cruise indeed.
On a different note, and not to depreciate, here’s a thought?
Have you spent a lot of time with ZBrush?
Somehow your work doesn’t seem to show that you’re very confortable with it… yet?
Dunno just something I’ve been noticing.
Maybe not all artists adapt to ZBrush well.
Yeah, that was a baffling comment. Have you seen Tony’s work? Have you seen his Lord of Darkness thread? Crazy
Really love this model. Even without the hait you really nailed so much of Cruises facial features. I am surprised you didn’t go further with the base model though. I would’ve thought you would try to get that even closer before going to ZBrush though obviously it works well for you since the likeness is so good. Inspiring work once again Tony!
yeah that Tony…surrrrrrrrre ain’t adept to Zbrush AT all!!
Maybe he should stop using messiah as well!

Sheesh
Well you guys got it all wrong.
I mean totally wrong. I’m not trying to flame anybody.
No it’s not a comment out of jealousy.
I think TJ is still a little weak at ZBrushing.
I don't mean for anybody to quit anything at all.
I think he is getting better, look at current, but from other stuff he’s shown as well.
It really is just something that I think I've noticed.
Sorry if it really didn't sound nice
It was probably unsensitive and I apologise.
Maybe I really should be keeping my mouth shut.
bump
I wanted to re-write my crit in a more sensitive manner
First of all I really enjoy TJ’s art.
TJ I think you’re the master of box modelling.
I’d say I’ve noticed that you have ZB in your workflow
I also think that your work with it is growing, imho.
Also that it’s noticeable that you use it, and that’s what my point is.
I think your brush stokes stand out a lot.
I’m not saying they’re bad, I don’t think that,
but I think they could blend a bit more into the model.
That is my humble comment.
I think using brushes shouldn’t be that noticeable, unless that is what you’re aiming for.
I mean look at the Impressionist stuff. Otherwise I’m really enjoying this one.
Yes it does look like Tom Cruise imo.
It looks like TJ’s threads are somehow getting inflammatory(?)
I genuinely hope it stops, and I wish for updates
'cause I’d really like to just enjoy this
LOL. have you been critiquing for a while? Dont want to deprecate but you dont seem comfortable critiquing in a mature manner. hehe.
LOL they don’t teach you proper etiquette in college. All I got was “it’s cool” or “it sucks”.
Awesome work TJ, I’d just smooth out the lines on the cheeks.
hehe Razr , but is even worse when thel tell you something like “mmm interesting”
great model Tony , just the cranium seems to be a bit to large on the back of the head IMO
but other than that is perfect.
tony
BUMP BUMP

We miss your work. What’s a couple of bad crits?
Come on I’d even apologise
Show us more work come onnnnnnnn…
