Looking cool Hwen.

These are nice! I like the pose your picked.

Have you decided which one(s) you will render? Or do you plan to render them all? I started working on mine, and boy is it a complicated and detailed armor.

#6

Hi guys, I started blocking the character, I’m still at the stage of deciding the design.
As I go on I post the process.

Here is my work in progress.

So far, I’ve only done a rough outline, and I started placing my base colors.

I’m planning on having him sit on his golden chair, with maybe two egyptian columns on each side if I have enough time. Light sources will probably be natural sun light coming from the top of the room, like in the video, and maybe 2 braziers on the ground on each side, with fire lit in them as a secondary light source.

Feel free to critique if you find anything odd about it. I’d rather know now than when I’ll be done rendering

Thanks and good luck to everyone participating.

Hi guys. Just a rough sketch for now.
Good contest for everyone!

Hi guys, I would like to share with you a very basic color scheme that I chose.
Now it’s time to start rendering. I love this phase!

#12

I am in Process of my first idea trying to turn the pharaoh little bit magic and using oldest costumes without remove king appearence

#14

Hi to all… My first rough.!

#15

In this second WIP I’m trying to turn it in a magical pharaoh with some old things in his robe

#16

Hi guys, I finished the model, it was not exactly as I would like but for the time of the challenge there is no way to go very deep.

#17

Detailed rough update… I think I may have combined a hint of the final form though I’m aiming for an advanced form. I have already laid down some motifs and maybe where I could emphasize the overall look or design.

Hey this is my first character model :grin:

#20

I am making a female version of the suit with some minor changes to design.
Base is pretty much done, I plan to work some more on shapes and detailing, render it and add finishing touches in photoshop.

#21

Now I’m getting somewhere, I hope. This will be at least the Advance Form that I’m aiming for but I think I have a lot to change to the design because some are still based on the original. I’m also going to exaggerate elements that I think will distinguish from other possible designs that others are coming up with.

The next update will be getting references and sharing them here and hopefully would come up with the final design. I hope everybody is doing well with their designs. I’d like to know what you think of my current update? Cheers!

#22

I like the changes to the silhouette you made between this update and previous one, can clearly see Egyptian symbols.
A bit too many angular elements for my taste, I think it would be nice to break it up with soft lines, like in original design.

#24

Hey guys this is my WIP :grin:

#25

My progress so far. Created my own concept of what I thought would go well in pubg. Now to go back and include parts from the existing character.

#26

@kizikay I totally agree with your comment and I will take note of that as I go along with the design. Thanks!

@hwen I’m also excited to go that stage because that is where the fun is but still, I need to clear the elements of the design as I’m still struggling to the final outcome or the look and feel. And yes it is still stiff at the moment as I haven’t decided about the pose and or final composition. Anyways, thank you for the observation.

I also would like to share some references that I’m using while doing the progress…
