WIP: Mr. Incredible

#1

Okay, I decided to give A:M one more try.

Here’s a model I made. Its still needs a lot of work - hands, legs, hair, bump maps and specular levels on some areas (gloves and boots). Its just a quick rough.

It was only done in 3 hours so please be nice :)

– also not happy with the nose. I promise to make this better

Here’s a wireframe view. I try to keep the mesh as simple as possible.

And here are the rotoscopes in action!

That’s a good start, especially for only 3 hrs work. The face looks almost spot on. I think the feet will have to be just a touch smaller though.

#5

HOLY! where did you get those rotos??/

I agree, this already looks quite promising.
May be the nose is too small and the feet too big.

What I will never understand though, is why so many people put so much effort into building characters, of which they dont have the copyright. Why not create some original characters of your own, if you have all the possibilities?

Thanks guys. You’ve been very kind.

Here’s the rotoscopes if you wanna play with it:

I just basically shot a toy with my digicam with a dark background.

Also I had to cut one face for the front view and mirror it to get a good symetry (that’s why the collar looks that way).

I don’t know. Probably because we like them a lot. Its like drawing… you draw who you like then later on make your originals.

Also, my goal was just to try out of its possible for me to make this character using splines. I will have no problem making this using subdivision modeling with other apps so Hash is a real challenge for me.

I do have a lot of original characters in my mind and hopefully I can present them virtually soon

I appreciate the comments. Thanks!
