WIP: GAIL female android [SLIGHT NUDITY]

#1

I am currently working on a pin-up for a Heavy Metal style comic magzine in the UK called “Event Horizon” from Mamtor Press. It’s got great work from Liam Sharpe, Glen Fabry, Steve Niles, Brian Holguin, Ash Wood, and many others.

I am working on a female android called Gail from one of the prose stories in the book. She’s a sex android that gains awareness and uses her “talents” as a spy and a thief.

Definately not one for the kiddies.

Based on the Lambrina model with heavy tweaking, v11.1 on my Powerbook G4 and Radiosity rendered.

It’s pretty far along now, but if anyone is interested, I can show the early steps of this process and wireframes.

Let me know what you think!

I think I posted in the Hash Forums on this, but in case I didn’t, it’s freakin’ awesome!

And what’s the “Lambrina” model?

#4

Lambrina is a female model that comes on the A:M CD. It’s a pretty good model, and was easy to tweak and build clothes for based on my photo reference.

here’s a wire of the model without her clothes on,

and one of her in shaded mode when she had long black hair:

I’ll get a bones shot up soon.

I can’t believe you got the breats that good. The side view of the splines looks likes you should have some creasing there, but you don’t. Great job.

sorry, I was out of the state this whole weekend…here’s some bones:

and a new render working on her shoulders. They were a bit sharp:

Looks great. I really like the model. Are you painting her clothes?

Crits:
When posing her I would shift the torso over to her right leg (viewer’s left) a little more as it seems to be the weight bearing leg. The arm with the hand on the hip should have the elbow out more. I tried that pose and it was a bit painful and not relaxed like the rest of her looks.

can’t wait to see more

Great crits!

Thank you for the honest and pointed comments.

I’ll work on that.

more soon.

Sorry I didn’t see this sooner! Very good work on your model…I also wanted to look at the Lambrina model you used as a guideline.

Which version of AM is the model included on? I’ve got the Orangutan version…Ver11:(AM2004) ? and haven’t updated to 12 yet. I tried to locate the Lambrina model on my AM 11 CD, but no luck.

Thanks,
Markus

I have the Sorcerez CD, and it’s on there…and Orangutan is the release right before that one, so you’d probably have to upgrade, or see if Hash has the model as a free download from their website.

Here’s a pic of Dex and Lambrina:

And go here to see the finished GAIL:
