WIP - big, ugly, bad dude

#1

I’m modelling this dude in free time - rendered in Blender

#2

looking good, keep it up:thumbsup:

#3

Working on…

#4

looking good, and yikes on the axe, sure would hate to have to battle this dude

I like the shape of this guy, very nice, though perhaps, just perhaps the bottom center part of his pecs could be turned upwards more

#5

ok - no updates because I’m migrating from windows enviroment to Linux and I’ve got problems running Wings. I’ve downloaded precompiled binary, what should I do with it now?

#6

I like it. Looks real good.

#7

thnx  now - if anyone could answer my question? I wolud be sooooo greatful ;):wavey:

#8

I don’t have an answer for your Linux prob but the model looks very promising.

Maybe a wireshot and head closeup could help getting more comments on it.

Which distor are you running? Is there a package for wings in it’s package system?

The precompiled verision should have a .configure and a makefile in it. (The downloaded package should be a .tar.gz or .tar.bz2 or somthing. Untar it first.

I’m running wings under Gentoo Linux.

#10

Execute it maybe…

#11

I had a look.

First unkompress the package:
gunzip -d wings-0.98.21-2-linux.run.gz

Then:
sh wings-0.98.21-2-linux.run

Whitch will install wings i ~/wings-0.98.21/

Then run by typing ~/wings-0.98.21/wings

If you run sh wings-0.98.21-2-linux.run as root it will install in /root/wings-0.98.21/.

I have no clue why on earth it installs like that and not as unixprograms should.

#12

well - I’ve got it up and runnig (i just LOVE working with my linux :] )

here’s some updates:

and a wireframe screenshot:

#13

No wthis guy is now more ugly than bad. This example shows that I’m a completely lame in texturing :frowning: Anyone knows some good tutorial about character texturing?
