Wings3D on MacBook Pro?

#1

Hi,

I just got my MacBook Pro yesterday and I cannot get the Mac version of Wings to load. Does anyone else have on of the new Intel Macs and have you gotten Wings to run on it?

Thanks.

Wings probably is not an Universal Binary application at this time…

Best place to check is on the Wings dev forum. From what I remember all that is needed is a universal version of Erlang to be released to run. There is no need for them to recode the program. Cant you run it under Rosetta?

Nah, it loads and changes the Finder menu to Wings for a sec and then it disappears. I checked the Wings Dev forum and a guy there said he downloaded the current CVS of SDL and then everything worked great. I looked into that, but I couldn’t figure it out. Probably I’ll just wait until I can get a Universal Binary version.

Now there is an Intel Mac version. I just downloaded it and it loads and seems to work well – I haven’t really used it yet though.
