Wings3D Challenge Announcement - November

#1

Welcome to the Wings3D November Challenge! Although we only have a few weeks left in the month, the challenges starting in December will be a full month long - start on the first of each month, and be due on the last day of the month.

The subject of the November Challenge will be a BARNYARD ANIMAL. This includes, but is not limited to:

horse
pig
cow
bull
rooster
hen
turkey
dog
cat
sheep
lamb
goat
duck
gopher
alpaca
NO INSECTS!

Style may be cartoony or realistic.

Rules:

You must use Wings3D for ALL of your modeling! Texturing is optional, and may be done in any software package. It will not be considered part of the review of your final submission. You may also choose to rig and pose your model in another software package.

You will also be the judges of all participants. I think a poll added to the thread for each entry would work well. If you have a suggestion that you think will work better, please PM me and I will look into it.

Start your own thread, titled "Wings3D Challenge - November". WIP images and updates are encouraged.

Final submission should be at least 2 still images + wireframes. The winner will receive bragging rights and a portfolio piece, along with the techniques and experience learned throughout the modeling process. This should be the goal of every entrant!

Judging starts on Dec 1st, so get to work!

===========================================

I don’t mean to step on the toes of previous Challenge coordinators. If you would like to help coordinate the Challenges, we should make a committee of sorts and rotate coordination responsibilities. PM me if this sounds like a good idea, or if you have any suggestions at all! I’m doing this because I’d like to see regular monthly challenges, and encourage more participation as a result. PM me with any ideas at all!

I won’t be able to participate in this challenge, as I will be travelling until Nov 26th. :frowning: Sorry! If I get back and feel like crankin on something, I will, but right now don’t plan on it…

Well sounds good to me. I will try to come up with something. I will first decide on what then get a few refs on it. (how about fish like catfish?)

#4

Well done Matthew - A fantastic idea… I’ll certainly be entering!
