Wings/YAfray : Glass material (transparent)

#1

Hey all,

So i’ll exposed my problem here. I’ve searched a lot and never find answer.
I use Wings3D (last version : 98.28a) and Yafray.

  • I’ve try to make a simple sphere with a base material : opacity on 50%. And a Area Light and/or Ambient light.
With open GL rendering : sphere is transparent.
With Yafray renderer (interface in Wings3D no command line) : sphere isn’t transparent.

Is there any one who know how resolve it ?? I need to glass materials ^^

Thanks for your help…

(a) open the outliner
(b) select the sphere material
© rmb|edit material
(d) expand the following sections: YafRay Options|Fresnel Parameters
(e) slide the “transmited” slot in direction to white
to get transparent material

Transmited slot is the amount of light that will cross
the object (transparency).
