Wings Website= Total Lag

Does anyone else have trouble viewing the gallery or the community pages on the Wings site? Half the time, it doesn’t even work, when it does, it is literally the SLOWEST website I have ever encountered!

I don’t think there is maintinence or crowd issues (no one there half the time), I think it is possibly just a horrible web service? It’s the only site I ever have trouble with consistently.

Right now, it is doing what it often does, pretends to load the gallery pages, then says there is an error and no data was found?

I kind of doubt I am the ONLY one who has the troubles on the Wings site, has anyone ever looked into this or mentioned it before?

Oh yeah, I would have posted this ON the Wings site if I could have gotten to it…:annoyed:

Wings site works fast for me.

Slowest site I’ve experienced is HighEnd 3D.

I don’t get much lag at Wings or HighEnd… XSIbase is the slow one for me… on my work T3 9-15 sec to open. On my home Cable 11-20 sec. CGTalk… bam 1 sec tops.

yeah I have trouble with it more then any others I visit. alot of times it won’t load I sit there and hit refresh or reclick my bookmark till it does.

Both of them are out my control.

The www.wings3d.com site at SourceForge will probably becomer faster when SourceForge is upgrading to faster servers.

It’s the regular “Wings3D” site www.wings3d.com

Is it on a server in Europe? I haven’t come across any other servers that respond this way consistently. It is very frustrating because often the site won’t load at all.

I was just trying to figure out if I am the only one that sees this?

Sinthetic-- I get the same thing here (Tennessee).
It has been much worse over the past few weeks or so. The development forum has always been slow for me… sometimes painfully slow. But never as bad as the wings site is now.

both the main Wings3D site, as well the community fiorums all come in as should from where I am out on the west coast… so does sourceforge for that matter…so this must be something along the specific backbones in your regions
