Can you guys post me a recommended Hot Key Layout (Or Just your pref file) along with you reasons for working with that setup. I really cant decide where I want to put my hot keys and how I want to set things up.
Much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Rezonance,
I have a totally hacked hot-key layout. I use ‘a’ for move, ‘s’ for rotate, and ‘d’ for scale because they are so close to the Shift, Control, and Alt keys. I use the Shift, Control and Alt keys as modifiers to mean the y, z, and x axis respectively. The reason I do this is because the default view in wings has a similar axis layout as the described shift, alt, control key layout. I also use the same modifiers on all the shortcuts. For example,
j = extrude normal
shift+j = extrude along the y axis
control+j = extrude along the z axis
alt+j = extrude along the x axis
a = move freely
shift+j = move along the y axis
control+j = move along the z axis
alt+j = move along the x axis
etc . . .
I also added a few other shortcuts to speed things up
control+shift+a = move normal
control+shift+d = slide
Hot-keyed Magnet Ops:
(thanks Elrond79
http://p212.ezboard.com/fnendowingsmiraifrm3.showMessage?topicID=957.topic )
control+alt+a = magnet move freely (just pick an outer bounds point)
control+alt+s = magnet rotate freely
control+alt+d = magnet scale freely
n = collapse
h = bevel
control+h = bridge
k = inset
control+k = intrude
l (L) = select edge loop
g = select edge ring
t = tweak
control+t = tighten (only works on vertices though)
I use temporary selections instead of tweak because it allows me to move rotate and scale instead of just moving the highlighted part. I also try to make use of the fact that you can use a hot-key to finish the dragging part of an interactive command.

Hmmm…I haven’t used wings in a few months now (Been on Maya.)
Lemme see if i can remember my hotkey set.
Shift + v = Create Virtual Mirror
Alt + v = Break Virtual Mirror
Ctrl + v = Freeze Virtual Mirror
t = Tweak mode
c = Connect mode
Ctrl + c = Loop Cut
Alt + a = View|Align to Selection
s = Slide
That’s about it, not much. But it gives me the workflow i like.
When i first started on Wings i had everything hotkeyed, Move with the axes was F1, F2, F3 and F4, Rotation was F5 to F8, Scale was F9 to F12.
Though i didn’t find it efficient enough. You can try it if you like.

You’ll find that Shift stands for Move, Ctrl for Rotate and Alt for Scale. The backquote and the digits 1 to 6 stand for the axes: = Free (Uniform), 1 = X, 2 = Y, 3 = Z, 4 = normal, 5 = last, 6 = default. This way, Alt + is scale uniform, Ctrl + 4 is, predictably, rotate about normal, Shift + 2 is move in Y (up-down), 3 (for faces) is extrude region in Z and so on. The system works marvellously.
I just thought that needed clarification, because it might not be clear from the list of hotkeys. Look the rest up by clicking Help | Defined Hotkeys.

Some people find this a little odd, but my Wings hotkeys are set up like a first person shooter:
WASD = free, x-axis, y-axis, z-axis, respectively, with Q = normal
From there, the three modifier keys (ctrl, alt, shift) define what operation to perform along the abovementioned axes. For example:
Ctrl-A = rotate around x-axis
Shift-Q = Extrude Region along normal
Alt-D = Scale along z-axis
Ctrl+Alt D = Radial scale along z-axis
And so on.
I try to keep the keys the same for every selection mode (face, vertex, etc), and where the commands differ, I try to keep it fairly logical. For example:
C = Cut edges, in edge mode
C = Subdivide, in face mode
Hope that helps.
