Wings forums in German

#1

Are there any German Wings3d forums that you know of? I’ve got a friend who I’m trying to get hooked on Wings, but he’s more comfortable with German than English. Reading the manual is a bit of a pain for the guy, so he gets along slowly. I thought a forum in German could help a lot.

I dont know, they confuse me in the fact that sometimes I dont understand the explenations, or it tells me to use a certain command and i cant find it, for some reason, and i cant find any good tutorials

Hi Kralle, I think when it comes to ease of use, wings3d beats several packages hands down, when not all  Have you read PuzzeledPauls notes on his site? Or have you checked out the newbie tutorials on the official forum? If you have problems with words or need things explained, you can ask here, I´m German too.

Whazzup PP, how ya hanging? Is RoadToad still on the forum?

Well, because my stuff’s been written over a period of time and I always use the (current) devt. release it’s possible that things have changed and I’ve not updated the workflow.

Whilst I can’t help with the language issue, there’s many pple around that can help to provide clarification of the tut / info etc - whoever has written it

Cheers

an allways overlooked resource for realtime help , speacially when you got stuck with a tut or cant find a button or function is #wings3d on irc.freenode.net

for general stuff there is www.3d-worxx.com, but its not program specific, mostly C4d, maya, max and some xsi users. but as C4D doesnt have N-Gons, many of them use wings for the modelling workshops…

I bet there is a bunch of guys who can answer wings Qs, and if he(or she?) feels more compfy in german…

the most sofisticated answers are given right here…

How do you mean it doesn’t? It seemed to support them last time I checked. Or are they fake n-gons?
