Hello to all!
Wings 0.98.17g is OUT whit more bug fixed!!

/Björn

  • Windows: On certain computers with German Windows, all saved
wings files became impossible to load (“corrupted file”).
(It is not clear why, but I strongly suspect Microsoft for bugs
in either Windows XP and/or the C run-time library.)
This release includes a patched Erlang virtual machine (beam.dll)
that work arounds the bug (and it can also be used to read
wings files that have become “corrupted”).
    (Problem reported by Nhytro.)

  • Raimo implemented frames that can be collapsed in dialog boxes;
used in the dialog boxes for Yafray. Also many internal improvements
in dialog boxes (which will be used in future releases of Wings).

  • Updates and bug fixes by Dan to the OpenGL renderer.

  • Added a eyedropper tool in the color chooser that can be
pick colors from anywhere in the Wings window. (Just click
anywhere out-side of the color chooser window.) Note that this
tool picks the actual pixels after lighting has been applied
    to them.

  • Binding *|Default Axis command (e.g. Scale, Rotate) to a hotkey
would actually bind the current value of the default axis.
    Corrected. (Thanks to PuzzledPaul.)

  • Dan improved all image importers (BMP, TIFF, TGA) to work on more
kinds of file formats (in particular, images having less than 24
bits and color tables). (Thanks to meebert.)

  • Raimo made sure that numbers typed into the H, S, V field
in the color chooser would update the other fields. Also
made all color text fields the same width.
    (Problem reported by thedaemon.)

  • Vertex colors will now be properly exported even if
not all vertices in a face have colors.
    (Problem reported by Anthony D’Agostino.)

  • Raimo changed the Camera Settings dialog box so that you
can always change the number of mouse buttons - the camera
mode will be changed to the Nendo if the current camera mode
doesn’t work with only one or two buttons. (Thanks to Stephen Caissie.)

  • Dissolve and Loop Cut used in a way that would temporarily create
a two-edged face (during the operation only), would crash in
the attempt to remove the two-edged face. Also fixed a few other
    Dissolve problems.
(Problems reported by PuzzledPaul, bender456, PC, and FonteBoa.)

  • Typing in a numeric value for Inset or RMB Cut would not work (the
typed-in value would be ignored and a very small number would
be substituted). (Problem reported by emmar and Vast Deathmaster.)

  • Improved normal calculation for export to the Wavefront format.
    (Problem reported by John Haggerty.)

  • In the basic menus, it was not possible to define hotkeys
for the commands in the Scale menu. (Problem reported by ernest.)

  • Yafray: Value of the save_alpha render tag has been corrected to on/off.
Correction by Raimo. (Problem reported by Meindert)

  • Invoking grow edge loop on a virtual mirror border edge
would select the whole edge loop. (Problem reported by xr4y.)

  • Gloss maps can now be created in the Outliner (by dragging an image
    to a material).

  • When scaling or rotating an object in body mode with a virtual mirror,
the center point will now be in the plane of the mirror face (rather
than somewhere in the unmirrored part).
    (Problem reported by xr4y.)

  • After resizing the main Wings window, any window (e.g. Geometry window)
that was more than halfway outside the Wings window could not be fitted.
    (Problem reported by PuzzledPaul.)

Enjoy !!
