Wings 0.98.17e is out!!

(I found a bug in 0.98.17d after uploading it.)

  • Flatten|X RMB would crash. (Problem reported by 3dPagan.)

  • Wings would crash instead of a reporting an error condition in
    a secondary selection (e.g. if the magnet influence was zero).
    (Problem reported by Vast Deathmaster.)

  • Windows: Preventing the Erlang system to contact DNS
    servers on the Internet or from reading the hosts file.
    If you had this problem, please report whether it works
    better now or not.
    (Problem reported by Bryde and others.)

  • When starting up, Wings will try all possible hardware-accelerated
    OpenGL modes before accepting a software OpenGL mode.
    (Problem reported by Anthony D’Agostino.)

  • There will be a confirmation question before a hotkey can
    be re-assigned. Also corrected several minor bugs in hotkey
    handling.

The thing that blows my mind is that many of the other apps I use that I have paid good money for, have much bigger budgets and supposedly bigger development teams, yet their rate of development is not nearly as high.

Wings is arguably one of the most oftenly updated application out there and that’s a good thing.

We just can’t say it enough times GOOD WORK and keep it up!
