Wings 0.98.16a is OUT !!
Notes:
-
Fixed a problem with a component of the Erlang virtual machine
that failed to load on some Windows computers.
(Thanks to Patrik Nyblom.) -
Only using backslashes in the filenames in “erl.ini” as backslashes
generally are safer than forward slashes on Windows computers.
(Thanks to Bryde.) -
Scale Uniform could only be assigned a hotkey in face mode.
(Problem reported by loganarts.)
AutoUV:
-
Dan G added an Ignore Chart material; no UVs will be used for those faces.
-
Marquee selection re-implemented.
-
Added highlighting.
Preferences on Windows:
In 0.98.16, the location for preferences was unintentionally changed
to a new location deeper inside the Wings directory. Because of that,
preferences would be deleted on uninstall.
Therefore, I decided to move preferences out of the Wings directory.
Wings now stores preferences in the “Application Data” directory for each user.
On Windows 98/ME, a typical path would be:
C:\Windows\Application Data\Wings3D
On Windows 2000/XP, a typical path would be:
C:\Documents And Settings\Application Data\Wings3D
where is the name of the logged-in user.
(Note that the Windows Explorer by default hides the
“Application Data” directory.)
On old versions of Windows (that don’t have any “Application Data”
directory), the preferences will be stored in “My Documents” instead.
Tnx Bjorn !!
