Why is this happening when i skin

Every time i perfectly skin my character’s thigh and i mirror it some weights still remain there and make it not look properly

is there a way to prevent this???

also how do i properly distribute the weights form the hip and thighs???

I don’t know what the links are that you posted but clicking on them does not display an image and I’m not about to download whatever software it is that is being advertised there.

Having said that I might guess that you picked the wrong symmetry options. Did you try different options?

you can click on the images…they work fine for me

what settings are you using in the mirroring options panel?

You should be using

Mirror Across YZ
check the box for Positive to Negative (+x to -x)

Closest Point on Surface

and Closest Joint

im using 2014 and ive only got the options, closest joint, one to one, label and none

don’t use one to one… use closest joint
