Which video games have the best soundtracks?

What do you think?

Half life 1&2
System Shock 2

Life is Stange. Noting like underground folk/rock music.

I’m a big fan of the “Deus Ex: Human Revolution” soundtrack.

“Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” also had a good one.

If I had to go for standout game song though, it’d be a toss up between Super Mario Odyssey and Portal. (EDITED to include the 3 key GLaDOS songs.)

I’m a big fan of the tracks for the original Mass Effect trilogy. Really atmospheric stuff that sets the mood for the games really well imo.

Do not forget Grim Fandango. Man, that music brings all sorts of moods, even for me, who normally listens to black metal:

The Metal Gear Solid franchise:

Xcom: Terror from the Deep

That is a fact! Like no other, Mass Effect transports me to other worlds and realities.

Just Try Need for Speed OSTs, all are amazing

Not saying they are the best, but I listen from time to time.

Main theme from Civilization 4

Shadow of the Beast. I get goose bumps every time I hear it.

FTL impressed me recently

All of those were really good, and all are new to me too (except for Ridge Racer series).

The soundtrack for entire Half-Life series is amazing (excluding Opposing Force and Blue Shift–those are not by Kelly Bailey):

This playlist has a lot of demos for the upcoming Unreal Tournament 4, and there are some amazing tracks:
