Yes actually I’m a witch, cause they were often identified by left handedness often as well, didn’t have to be left handed to be a witch, but if you were left handed your were a witch. Yeesh

And as for suing, maybe in the states but in Canada you wouldn’t have a case man. Canada is a little more picky about what you can sue for and what counts as abuse, denying my education because of what hand I use isn’t considered illegal, well maybe now, but not in the 80’s. It would be if it was considered a handy cap, but its not (thankfully) but its simply looked at as if you refuse to use your right hand its the same as refusing to learn how to type its up to the student not the school to adapt :frowning: And to this date I print rather than write simply because I was never taught how to write properly.

The brain has 2 hemispheres,the left and the right.The left hemisphere is generally for creative endeavours,the right for analytical type problem solving {depends on handedness}.When you have been sketching for quite some time and you look at your watch and it way past the hour you thought it was thats because you shifted from one hemipshere to the other,or the creative side from the analytical.The creative side has no real ability to judge time passed,so thats why so much time goes bye bye when you are drawing,however if you were drawing and make say a line and you name it the line in your head as you are doing it the other hemipshere will appear with a rush again and unless you can shift easily between one to the other as the majority of artists can do you will find the image becomes a bit mechanical because the analytical side is now drawing your image.Its like adults who are asked to draw a human being and they draw something like a stick figure and get really annoyed,well this because as children we used to draw stick figures and this logged in the brain,but many years later the moment you are asked to draw a figure this log pops up,its kind of like this,I want to draw a figure,the creative side trys to start the process and the analytical jumps n front and screams I know how to do it and quickly produces the old stick figure log again,however if you learn to cognitvely shift anyone can become at the minimum a reasonable artist,its about a shift from one hemisphere to the other.A very good book on this subject is Betty Edwards Drawing on The Right Side of The brain,it explains the process better then I can.Between the hemipsheres is a tangle of like wires called the Corpus Callosum and it joins the left and right side of the brain together,without the connection people can not recognise one of their hands as being their own etc :slight_smile:

Someone should nvent a numeric pad with some command keys that clips to the side of your puter at a 80 degree angle say.

Mmm calligraphy had to do it in commercial arts a bit, couldn’t do it verywell either, its all wrong :slight_smile:

You can by seperate numeric pads, granted you then have two numeric pades but meh, besides I use a speedpad so I don’t have these problems anyways, if Thirdeye’s suggestion was doen, I would change my set up a little and use the direction pad to work just like a nintendo would :slight_smile:

Since we are totally off topic, Why is it that consoles always have the D-pad on the left side of the controller and the computer usually has the direction control on the right side of the keyboard

My comment about accuracy comes from playing games like Quake and Unreal. Yeah, you need a lot of accuracy to blow up the baddies with a chain gun or bazooka–not. My experience was that when you tried some real precise movement there was a tendency to overshoot/undershoot translation and/or rotation. Maybe I just suck at games? :slight_smile:

-Node Base [EVERYTHING]
-N-GON [of course]
-Animation Capable Painting System - ie. Newtek Aura [it will be very cool]
-Hypervoxel [maybe rewrite pyrocluster]

My real wonders at the end of list!

Do the numeric pads also have command keys?

I read somewhere there will be a Windows version of Linux in development soon.

Personally I think some more modelling tools will make another chunk of the 3d community make the jump to C4D.Man I hope we get n gons,its what everyone measures C4D by now :hmm:

Windows version of linux, that makes no sense, if its windows its windows if its linux its linux,impossible to be both. heck even getting them to work together is hard enough as I’m now discovering, especialy when on the same system :confused:

i’m a lefty who uses the mouse righty…hey the whole is designed around rightys…

think the game movement idea is not such a bad idea on the whole even if it got a slating…it may just be that what we are actually saying is that we are not happy with the current method of doing it.

windows running linux…there is a version…but its a non starter imho…rather wine version…eg linux…running windows apps. either way dedicated version of net render and any other linux developments are a bonus, again imho.

(ps. supposedly and this is not a woman/man slur…but if you ask a woman and a man to draw a bike…the man always draws a working tech version…eg the chain, spokes, pedels…whereas woman go for the concept part…strange but…true…ask your friends to do it…wierd).

Heres another one, using the shapes SQUARE, CIRCLE and TRIANGLE. Simply tell your friend to “draw a simple shape like…” then name any TWO of those shapes, and tell them “not to show it to you.” Now tell them that they drew the third shape and you’ll be right almost any time.

The thing is the brain immediately cancels out the two mentioned and goes for the third most common shape, occasionally you’ll get smomeone a little more creative who draws a pentagon or rhombus, but if you say Circle or Square, the will typically draw a triangle.

And then there is always this trick:
