What happened to my alpha channel??

#1

Okay, here’s a question for you… I’m rendering a scene out in 3DS Max 7.5. It’s got a Foreground layer and a Background layer. I rendered the BG as a JPEG sequence… no problem. Then I rendered the FG layer as a Targa sequence with a premultiplied apha channel. Again … no problem. But when I import them into Combustion and bring them into the same composition… the alpha channel in the FG layer appears as a solid black. It’s not transparent. Any ideas why this isn’t working? Just to make sure I didn’t screw up during the rendering process, I imported both layers into After Effects and the targa layer maintains it’s alpha level transparency perfectly. So it’s something that I’m not doing correctly in Combustion. Any ideas?

You tagged the box “Color+Alpha” under footage right?
