what am i doing wrong? stupid bones...

this is the first time i’m uploading a test render so i might get it wrong…sorry. anyway. i’ve got everything modeled and textured. i’m testing out a rig that i’ve been toying with. i bought the books, looked at the videos, i even bought mancandy video. i can move the bones no problem. the problem is the mesh doesn’t quite move with the mesh. i’ve weight painted it, enveloped it…i even have vertex groups and messed with that, i’m at a loss…i’m coming from messiah and lightwave. there in messiah the tweaking wasn’t all that hard. if anything hardly any tweaking at all (yes i’ve been spoilded). i’m hoping my test render loads. i’d really like some help. thanks

forget it guys. i’ve been tinkering with it since i posted. i don’t know exactly what i did, but it’s working…a little beter.

I would say you have more then 1 armature modifier and its multiplying the deformation

Yeah looking at my earlier saves i saw that i did have 2 of them. jeez, i just started tinkering away. got rid of subsurf, hair, any other modifiers and well whole bunch of stuff. but i’m glad now i know what it is. thanks for the reply.
