This is a still from a pan, I did for the feature film “Kalif Storch” in the preproduciton phase.The goal was to develop a unique and realistic style that works well with all of the movies full CGI-Areashots. To realise the ground turned out to be tricky. It demanded to work for far range shots but also had to have a lot of detail for the closer shots.

Nice work…

The only items that throw off the size of the image at some points is
that the tiles on top of the walls seem quite big and the shading of the tower top materials
looks a bit on the plastic side of things.
So I cannot quite tell, whether a human would be one tenth the height of the wall or
rather one third…
That impression might also be that there is no other element that clearly tells the viewer
what size the walls are. Maybe a small abandoned hut or a normal size door
somewhere would be the trick.

good materials, texture, light… just the perspective seems a little streched to me:)

awsome! so close to real. I would just dirty up the reflections on the tiles at the top of the walls, they look too uniformly glossy. Otherwise absolutely spot on! congrats :slight_smile:

Great work. I very like it. Very photorealistic atmospheric desert. Only i can advise - the material of roofs looks plastic.

Nice render. The tile spec and scale have been mentioned already but I also couldn’t quite read what’s happening with the bits coming off the middle wall. The shadows make it look like they’re floating in front of the wall…?

The cracks on the near foreground ground also look like they could use some displacement as from this low angle they feel a little flat and textured.
