Weird Green Color In Baked Normal Map


I am baking out a texture using the “Bake Texture” tag. All works fine until the normal map bakes and produces these green blocks (Shown below).
The object is just a cube so there isn’t anything crazy going on with the geometry normals.


Even a cube can have flipped normals…and that’s what I suspect. Green and purple are complementary (opposite) colors.


You probably don’t want object space normal maps.

Set the method to tangent and you should get your usual blue tinted normal maps.
