Hi, I’m testing camera match with a simple little animation.
It’s not final yet, Itreally needs motion blur (especially on the wings/propellers)
Maybe a better animation of the final bug.
what else?

Daaamn. Not bad. I would speed up the starting a bit. Cut out some of the stuff until the animation starts because it takes a bit too long. Also the bugs don’t look as good as what is going on in the wall. Nice work.
xoranimation: glad you do ;)-
bmiles, thanks for the comment, I kinda see what you mean.
I would even say : There’s way too much stuff happening in such a short time. It’s not readable.
It’s for sure because of how I worked it out: First it was only meant to be a quick test with gears in the wall, then I though oh I could add this, and that … etc…
Result is an overloaded piece.
About the bug, I sort of like how simple they are, here is a close up :

I wouldn’t say there is too much going on, I watched it and showed it to my girl and we both liked it. It read well. If anything there is a shock factor because there are a couple things happening at once and you are trying to figure it all out… in a good way. That close up render of the bug looks great, if you can get it to look like that in your comp it’ll look great. Good luck.
You’re right, that’s my next, and probably final, step (better integration of the flying bugs mblur etc…)
… If i get the energy to get back into it, though : /-
thanks for commenting ;)-
My thoughts as I watched it…
“Why is he sticking a wire to the wall?”
(started to look at design on wall)…Boom
“What was that knocking sound?.. oh he threw something at the wall… oh wait… no… the little wire thing was a bomb?.. thats sorta…”
“Holy shit the wall opened up thats super badass!! Dammn that looks awesome!!”
“Oh… those bees look a bit weird… he should kept the wall opening up… that was wicked”
