W.I.P. Of a short movie - The Brats -The Toys Thief

Hi All,

So I’d like to share with you the WIP of my Short Movie, it’s gonna be about 13 minutes in length and we started (me and the Wife) doing it in January, it was about 2 Months to write the story and then in March I started the animation and she did some of the Modeling, but most of the work was done by me.

I will be updating this thread as days go by as we are in the Final Test Renders, I may post some short clips later on, but for now I’ll be posting only stills :).

All is done in Max, Rendered With Octane for Max and a bit of post work in AEffects.

So here is the 1st still, C&C Welcome, we hope to have the whole movie rendered in 2 Months time, there are Over 300 shots in it

Thx, glad u liked it… Yes its a narrative, we started a project sometime ago with 3 cartoon characters and we plan on making educational movies with them with alotta humor…this movie in particular will feature the neirborhood bully and its gonna be up to the Brats to recover a toy that he stole from them…Brats style :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

Good Morning All

Here’s one more test render of the short, its a bit noisy, obviously the final render will have much higher quality…also we are replacing the grass texture of the ground floor with actually grass blades, sky is also temporary.

Still doing render tests and started to make the final renders as i type this…here only the Background is missing.

I am rendering the whole 13minutes in 720p, each frame is taking on average about 3 to 4 minutes…all on GPU with Octane for max on a dual gtx590.

Sooo after almost 2 months here is another update, next week we will release our first trailer of this short, meanwhile im posting more stills.

Thx for the compliment Anthony, its been a hard year doing it, but at the same time very rewarding as we have learned ALOT doing it
