Vue6 xStream - Which is better XSi or Maya version?

I am having a serious debate about either getting Maya 2008 or XSi 6.5. Both are same price.

I want to incorporate Vue6 into my workflow as well. I was wondering if anybody can give me a real world experience with this.

Does XSi Gigacore run Vue 6 better? Or is it just fine in Maya?

I have a Quad core 2.66 system with 4 GB Ram XP for now moving to Vista once all my apps are ported.

I am leaning towards Maya, even though XSi gives me fur and cloth for the same price.
