Actually the book it’s pretty finished, but it’s in italian, we are planning to translate it in english (i’m not the right guy to do it :stuck_out_tongue: )
The book will be for Max (sorry, the archviz market here is Max-centric), you can use it with Maya too (you know, it’s just a different “GUI”, nothing more), but if you want you can also send an email to my editor, with a good number of “request” mail, there will be a chance to write a book specifically for Maya

are you using maya 2008 , snowcat ? because with my 8.5, it says error and may result in data loss.
the file can’t open. Your file is in binary, and I think there’s no way to adapt it for 8.5 … anyone ?

Hi snowcat,

I’ve just started playing with the portal lights but it looks like your portal lights aren’t smoothing out the FG.

I’ve downloaded your scene and switched on the ‘Use light shape’ and ‘Visible’ flag and it smoothes the FG out more.
