I’m making a fish tank model for interior, and when i add in water with refraction IOR 1,333 the depth suddenly shrinks to half of what it should be, and I’m fairly sure that’s not how it works in real life. The water is cut into glass and glass IOR is 1,5. Anything I might be doing wrong?
I attached pictures with water (sorry about the render, i was doing regions from different angles to see if it looked fine from some but it doesen’t) and with no water to show actual depth. Water is fast sss2.

Sorry for seeing this so late, perhaps you’ve already solved it.
It seems there’s something wrong with your setup. The IOR for glass and water (1.5 and 1.33) means the IOR of light crossing between air and that medium. The IOR for light crossing from glass to water is different: between 0.8 and 0.9.
There’s a good explanation a little bit down that page:

It’s for Mental Ray, but you need to set up your geometry and IOR values the same way.
